PIN BHABA PASS


Period: 15 June to 15 September

Grade: Medium to Hard


Day 01: Chandigarh- Manali 

Pick up from Chandigarh Airport  and drive 320 km to Manali. Arrival Manali and transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 02: Manali (2000m) 

Enjoy the village hike at Manali. In the evening, explore the Manali Market. 

Day 03: Manali – Chandertal Lake (4200m)
The drive to Chandertal Lake  takes you across the Rohtang pass (3970m) and Kunzum La (4551m). From Rohtang, the road descends in to the Lahaul valley to Gramphu, from where the road forks towards Kunzum and Chandertal lake. The lake is picturesque with blue water and surrounded by several 6000m peaks. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 04: Chandertal Lake- Kaza (3500m)
Enjoy an early morning walk along the lake before we drive to Kaza. Take in the sights & sounds of the Local Market at Kaza in the evening. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 05: Acclimatise around Kaza

Soak in a bit of Spitian culture with a visit to Kibber, the highest motorable village in the world and the ancient monastery at Ki. The road winds along the banks of the Spiti river. Overnight stay in hotel

Day 06: Kaza – Mud Purkha

Drive to Mud village. The trek begins here with the trail following the Pin river for a while, before a gradual climb up the hill, along vast meadows. These are the grazing grounds of the local shepherds. The village of Mud lies across the Pin river. The village Gompa is set impressively on a cliff between two streams. Overnight Camp.

Day 07: Mud Purkha – Base camp (Baldhar)
The day begins with a gradual climb, followed by a steep ascent on scree slopes, till the base camp set a few hours below Bhawa Pass. Overnight camp

Day 08: Base Camp (Baldhar)- Kara over Bhawa Pass (5020m)
The going is rugged for most of the day, over moraine, scree, boulder fields and snow. As there is no defined trail, the route demands aeration. After crossing the pass, a steep descent leads you to the campsite, which is located on the banks of the Bhawa River. The vast grass pastures attract shepherds from Kinnaur, who bring their flocks of sheep and goats here during spring. Overnight Camp

Day 09: Kara – Gulling
The day’s trek starts with a gradual descent down the valley. The trail widens as you reach the junction of two streams. Continue on till you reach the valley floor. From here, a short climb takes you to the camp set in a beautiful glade. Overnight Camp

Day 10: Gulling – Kufnu – Sarahan
Descend through the mixed cedar forest till you reach Kafnu village, where transport awaits you for the drive to Sarahan, which takes 3-4 hours. The Bhimakali temple in Sarahan is a big attraction and one gets magnificent views of the Srikhand peaks from here. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 11: Sarahan – Chandigarh
Rampur is the erstwhile Himalayan kingdom of Rampur Bushehar and offers rare insight into the customs, religion, art and architecture of its people. It is one of the biggest commercial towns in Himachal Pradesh and is famous for the Lavi fair held in November. The drive then continues via Narkanda, which offers ski slopes with traintng facilities during the winter months, to Chandigarh. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 12: Chandigarh-Departure
After breakfast transfer to Airport.

The trek to Beas Kund starts from Manali. This trek winds its way through the famous Solang Valley, 15 kms from the town of Manali. Solang valley is famous for its spectacular slopes. On this trek you will find lush green meadows, glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The trail then goes via Dhundi and Bakarthach to enter the Beas Kund glacier, the birthplace of the River Beas.

One of most the fascinating and less frequented treks in Lahaul valley which is drained by two mighty rivers - Chandra and Bhaga , this trek explores the upper Himalayas of Chandra valley. The trek involves crossing high passes and many streams and rivers. During monsoon , the meadows are full of wild Himalayan flowers.

Terms & Conditions


  1. Bookings will be confirmed only on receipt of acceptance of quotation against the itinerary at respective hotels & services subject to availability at the time of reservation.
  2. If in case of unavailability at any of the hotels or services, similar or most appropriate alternatives will be confirmed.
  3. All bookings to be reconfirmed with full name of the participating client’s names / age & passport copies before 45 days prior to arrival
  4. All bookings to be confirmed with 50% advance of total amount on or before 45 days prior to arrival and balance 50% to be made 30 days prior to arrival. 
  5. All bookings between 20 Dec to 10 Jan – Peak season have to be confirmed against full payment within 07 days.
  6. Welcome kit with travel documents – hotel vouchers , detailed itinerary, emergency contact list , domestic travel documents like air ticket , train ticket , ferry ticket – if any, will be handed over to clients on arrival in respective locations in India. Although we will send hotel contact address and emergency contact office address in advance via email.
  7. Untamed India does not offer any travel insurance, international flight tickets and visa processing for clients. 


Amendment /Cancellation Policy

All amendments or cancellation of existing bookings has to be intimated through e mail well in advance.


FIT Bookings ( 01 to 03 Rooms / 01 to 06 Pax)


  1. No retention applicable for cancellation of FIT bookings (01 to 03 Rooms / 01 to 06 Pax) 45 days prior to arrival unless there is a non refundable advance involved in that booking.
  2. 25% retention will be applicable for cancellation of an FIT booking between 44 to 35 days prior to arrival
  3. 50% retention will be applicable for cancellation of an FIT booking between 34 to 30 days prior to arrival
  4. 75% retention will be applicable for cancellation of an FIT booking between 29 - 25 days prior to arrival
  5. Full retention will be applicable for any amendment / cancellation of an FIT booking received less than 25 days prior to arrival
  6. Full retention applicable for the cancellation or amendment of booking falls between 20 Dec to 10 Jan during peak season irrespective of cancellation period.


GIT Bookings ( 04 Rooms and above / 07 pax and above )


  1. No retention applicable for GIT (04 Rooms and above / 07 pax and above) 60 days prior to arrival
  2. 50% retention will be applicable for cancellation of a GIT booking between 59 to 45 days prior to arrival
  3. Full retention will be applicable for amendment / cancellation less than 45 days to arrival
  4. Full retention applicable for the cancellation or amendment of booking between 20 Dec to 10 Jan during peak season irrespective of cancellation period.
